This sliding scale is designed to meet you wherever you are at in life and help determine which contribution is the best fit to your current financial privilege.
For a sliding scale to work, it relies on truthfulness, mutual honesty and accountability. Teachers deserve to be paid and students simultaneously deserve a system which can recognise that diverse situations of economic access and privilege exist.
_
Victoria uses a tiered pricing structure known as the green bottle method, to ensure greater equity and diversity for those wishing to learn Vedic meditation.
Please read the full breakdown of the sliding scale before reflecting on your current circumstance. You might not say YES to every statement, but the option that has the most YES answers will be your contribution. If you are a dependent, or supported by your partner, parents, family etc. please answer the questions based on WE, rather than I.

We live and work on land that was forcibly taken from Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people. On this stolen land, systems & institutions have been built that are structured to exclude and oppress. Pay The Rent is a not-for-profit organisation which enables funds contributed by the community to go directly to grassroots causes and campaigns which focus on protecting First Nations rights and provide restitution of our occupation on stolen indigenous land.

Green Sakthi is an environmental program started by Sri Sakthi Amma in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India.
Sakthi (pronounced shakti) is a Sanskrit word that means feminine energy or power.
The programs reflect a concerted effort to green India by initiating massive tree-planting projects, as well as addressing waste management, recycling and environmental education amongst school children. Their various programs include the Tree Nursery and Donation program which employs men and women from neighbouring villages to grow over 100,000 saplings for donation and planting in local schools, hospitals, colleges and other organisations, the Green Sakthi Club which educates local school children in Vellore on the importance of taking care of the environment, and the EXNORA Zero Waste Management Program which collects more than two tons of waste a day for recyling and composting and employing over two hundred local rural workers.
You can read more about their projects here.
