 FAQs

  • Vedic meditation is an effortless transcending technique. It allows the mind to naturally settle into deeper levels of awareness where greater levels of wakefulness can be experienced. Compared to other styles of meditation that often focus on concentration or mental control, Vedic meditation is simple and easy, making it accessible to everyone. It's important to note that Vedic meditation is always taught in person by a qualified teacher, who performs a traditional ceremony of gratitude in the first session before providing you with your personal mantra.

  • No! There is no control of the mind, breath or body, clearing all thoughts, or trying to achieve a state of perfect stillness and silence. In fact, having thoughts during the practice is completely normal and actually a sign that you are meditating correctly! In Vedic meditation, the body naturally and spontaneously relaxes and becomes still on its own, without any force, control or effort.

  • In Vedic meditation, thoughts are an integral part of the process. There is no need to quiet the mind or concentrate on a single point. During the 4-session course, you will discover that you can meditate effortlessly and gain a deeper understanding of what meditation truly is. It’s likely that you will notice an improvement in your attention span as you reduce stress and calm the overactivity and agitation within the nervous system. This leads to greater calmness and clarity, allowing you to focus better on your daily tasks.

  • The word mantra originates from the Sanskrit language. 'Manas' means mind and 'tra' means vehicle. In Vedic meditation, when the mind is given a mantra and taught how to use it in a specific way, it is able to be drawn spontaneously inwards to deeper, more restful states. The mantra that you receive is a simple sound with no intended meaning. It is carefully chosen to ensure an easy and effortless meditation experience. Being given a personal mantra along with proper instruction in Vedic meditation enhances your experience and helps you deepen and advance your practice over time.

  • The course investment is a one-time fee that grants you lifetime access to Vedic meditation. You can also re-take the course anytime for a refresher. This ensures you will have ongoing support for your meditation journey for life. With the global community of Vedic meditation teachers and students, whether you move or travel, you'll be able to connect with a teacher, join group meditations and be supported in your practice wherever you find yourself.
